Height: Average plant height reaches 50 cm.
Bulb size: We offer nicely developed, regularly shaped bulbs sized 16–18 cm in circumference.
Flowering period: You should expect the flowers during high summer, as they emerge from July to August.
Site: When choosing the site for lily cultures you have to remember about the specific requirements of those extraordinarily ornamental plants. They need, first and foremost, a moisture–retaining, yet well drained, humous soil that does not water–log during heavy rains. They also like their blooms to develop in the sun, while the lower parts of their stems remain in the shade. Hence it feels best in partial shade, for example under deciduous trees or in company of taller perennials.
Planting: The optimal bulb planting depth varies from 12 to 15 cm, depending on the lightness and permeability of the earth.
Planting period: Oriental lilies are planted outside in spring or in autumn, with the optimal time stretching between September and beginning of October.
Spacing: We recommend to plant 3–5 bulbs at a site. It also applies to cultivation in pots. Leave ca. 20 cm spacings between the plants.
Wintering: Resistant to strong frosts belongs to the biggest advantages of the lilies offered in our store. These bulbs may winter in the ground for years.
Use: Charming oriental lilies enchant with the beauty and sweet smell of their blooms. Therefore it is worth to plant them in frequented garden parts – at the entrance to your home, on borders or in groupings at lawns. Plants grown in pots may be kept inside or outside, on a balcony, terrace or alongside paths.
