Properties and benefits
EXTRA long-lasting Osmocote fertiliser combines fast-acting granules with a coated fraction that gradually releases nutrients under the influence of moisture and soil temperature. As a result, plants receive small daily doses of nutrients matched to their growth rate, which improves fertilisation efficiency and reduces losses. The protective coating made of organic resin reduces the risk of direct contact between nutrients and roots, so the risk of overfertilisation and plant scorch remains negligible.
Composition
Granulated fertiliser NPK (Mg) 22-07-14 (2.5)% (m/m) with a mixture of micronutrients.
Total nitrogen (N) 22%, including ammonium nitrogen 1.7% and urea nitrogen 19.1%; phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5) 7.0% soluble in ammonium citrate and water, including 5.3% soluble in water; potassium oxide (K2O) 14% soluble in water; magnesium (MgO) 2.5%; iron (Fe) 0.18%; manganese (Mn) 0.06%; zinc (Zn) 0.02%; copper (Cu) 0.01%.
Application and feeding period
EXTRA long-lasting garden fertiliser Osmocote is used in early spring throughout the garden, both when planting new plants and for plants already growing. It is intended for flower beds, vegetable plots, orchards, hedges and container plants. The nutrients are released gradually over a period of up to 6 months, which helps keep plants in good condition throughout the growing season.
Dosage
When planting roses, conifers and flowering shrubs, use 20 g per shrub, while for older plants: roses 60 g/m², flowering shrubs 40 g/m², conifers 20-40 g per metre of hedge. Perennials are fertilised at a rate of 3-5 g per plant or 30-60 g/m². Shrubs in pots require 20-40 g per shrub, and for patio plants the granules are mixed with the growing medium at a rate of 2-4 g per litre of growing medium.
Directions for use
Spread the granules evenly around the plants and lightly mix them into the top layer of soil, then water thoroughly. The release process takes place under the influence of moisture and soil temperature, providing regular feeding every day.
