Gaura ‘Sparkle White’ is a perennial variety; growing 60 to 80 centimetres in height, this plant assumes a shrubby form. Flowering in the first year of cultivation, the plants show off beautiful delicate white flowers that grow out of its relatively thin upright shoots from July to late autumn. Gaura ‘Sparkle White’, a variety which attracts butterflies, is an eye-catching plant that is suitable for perennial beds, gardens and parks. It is also used as a cut flower.
Growing: sow the seeds under cover in early spring or directly into the soil in April. Condition-wise, the plants prefer sunny positions in fairly moist permeable garden soils. This variety is sensitive to cold; in the winter, the plants require to be covered with conifer branches or straw, especially when grown in temperate climates.
