The Green Wizard western coneflower ( Rudbeckia occidentalis ) is our special offer for collectors of original plants. This perennial forms tufts that grow between 120 and 150 centimetres tall. Its distinguishing feature is the unusual appearance of the flowers that look like black-brown cones, adorned with a garland of yellow dots halfway their length. They consist almost exclusively of disc flowers that are surrounded by sepals at the base. These interesting plants bloom from July to September. Gardeners appreciate Green Wizard for its excellent resistance to low temperatures and changing growing conditions. The size of the plants and their unusual charm fits onto spacious flower beds, naturalistic, and rural arrangements. These flowers are perfect for drying and arranging in dry bouquets.

The bushy western coneflower thrives at sunny sites with a moderately moist soil. It is rather tolerant when it comes to other requirements. This easy-to-grow and unique perennial can adorn garden corners, inspiring you to create sensational decorations.

We hereby offer one seedling of the Green Wizard western coneflower. Basic plant information and growing tips were printed on the packaging label.
