If your garden lacks vivid colours, the José Aubergine stonecrop (Sedum spectabile) can erase the monotony like no other. This easy-to-grow, exceptionally resistant perennial delights with a saturated, purple colour of shoots and leaves. Its fuchsia pink flowers add warm tones to arrangements and beautifully harmonize with the unique cooler colouring of the shoots. The up to 50 centimetres tall José Aubergine stonecrop reaches similar width, what makes it one of the bigger varieties. This stunning plant easily adapts to various conditions, including sunny and dry sites and meagre soil. This is an ideal candidate for borders, path edgings, perennial groupings, bright places of relaxation, embankments, and rock gardens.

Its minimal requirements regarding the site and maintenance, combined with exceptional ornamental properties make the José Aubergine an excellent choice for every garden. Proposed perennial is fully winter hard and will therefore bloom for years without the need to be covered before the winter. Its tuft-like, erect habit allows to incorporate it into a multi-species border. Several specimens grown in a row might become a background for lower growing plants that flower late in summer and autumn. The purple-pink José Aubergine looks great in company of conifer shrubs, ornamental grasses, and long blooming, low growing annuals: pot marigolds, zinnias, asters, and miniature dahlias. It is worth to grow it together with Sedum plants that take on different colours, e.g. the Brillant, Matrona, Stardust, and Summer Surprise varieties.

One package contains 1 first choice seedling. Essential growing instructions have been printed on each package.
