The Kalos gladiolus will definitely find many fans. This majestic plant is unique and easy to grow. Gladiolus , a plant of the Iris family, stands out from its cousins with even taller growth form. Atop the erect stem forms an ear-shaped cluster of flowers. Large, funnel-shaped flowers are white and adorned with a coral-pink stripe on the outside. The pastel washed colours contrast beautifully with green, sword-shaped leaves. The Kalos gladiolus will brighten garden borders. It is a splendid cut flower too. A lush bouquet of flowers of that variety brings freshness and elegance into every interior.

Spring is the time for planting gladioli. Bulbs of that thermophilic species should not be put into cold soil that is still wet after the winter. Plant from mid-April to mid-May. Gladioli require a permeable soil with high humus content. It likes properly cultivated soil with a neutral or slightly acidic reaction. Plant the bulb at the appropriate depth, otherwise the plant might fall. The optimal planting depth is 10 to 12 centimetres. It is recommended to use a fungicide treatment liquid for bulb plants before planting. Take care of your gladioli after the planting by regularly watering and fertilizing them. This species is not hardy and must be protected from frost. After the flowering period in September you can transfer bulbs to a dry and airy room.

One package contains 50 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
