The Kazimir gladiolus that takes on a pretty shade of dark pink colour is highly acclaimed as a garden plant and a cut flower. The over 1-metre tall stalks hold a one-sided row of bell-shaped flowers that develop from the bottom to the top. A single cluster may contain even 20 funnel-shaped cups that guarantee an excellent decorative effect. Borders adorned with tall plants that bloom exuberantly with fuchsia-pink flowers will seduce every flower lover. Gladioli can also be grown in containers. You only need to remember that those planters must be large and deep enough. You can cut flower clusters and make them into large, colourful bouquets and compositions. Charming gladioli flowers work great in a garden, provide that those tall plants are equipped with stakes that protect them from breaking.
The time for planting gladioli is not strictly predetermined. It often depends on the weather, still we do not recommend planting bulbs earlier than mid-April. Gladioli do not like frozen and too moist soil that hampers their development and hurts their health. The place you choose for them should be sunny, sheltered, and the soil fertile and permeable. You must dig out corms before the frost in autumn. After cutting off the stem with leaves and drying, transfer corms to a dry room where temperature stays around 5?C. Young bulbs, that have grown over the old one, are planted again in the garden in spring.
One package contains 50 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
