The Koliber tomato belongs to late cocktail varieties. This vigorously growing plant produces plum-shaped fruit that are about four centimetres long. They are gathered in clusters of six to eight berries and have a shiny bright yellow skin. When halved, they disclose the juicy flesh that takes on various colours, from creamy-yellow to yellow. The sweet, mild, and aromatic tomato that produces small fruit is recommended for growing in unheated greenhouses and in the open field. Cocktail tomatoes can be used in the kitchen in many ways. They look and taste wonderfully in salads and perfectly complement omelettes and casseroles. They decorate dishes, adding colour and an appetizing note to them. Small tomatoes constitute a perfect snack. They look great on the table and stay fresh longer. You can stuff them with various fillings and pickle them with aromatic herbs the Mediterranean way. The delicious, beautifully coloured Koliber tomato is a great choice for all lovers of vegetable delicacies.

Tomato seeds should be sown in March and April into quality soil. Seedlings are then transplanted to the permanent site from mid-May to mid-June. Recommended spacings between plants amount to 40-60 x 30-40 centimetres. The Koliber variety bears fruit in July and August. The soil for that purpose should have a slightly acidic reaction, be rich in nutrients, and warm up quickly. Tomatoes require sunny sites that are sheltered from drafts. They must be watered, fertilized, and protected from diseases during the entire vegetation period.
