The Legolas gladiolus is the ideal choice for people who crave large flowers that are not too bright. They should like their subtle, light pink flowers adorned with darker stripes. Slender plants develop strong stems upon which flower buds open between July and September. One cluster contains from 9 to 23 flowers, that can measure over 14 centimetres in diameter. It stuns the beholder everywhere it is planted. Presented gladiolus variety belongs to popular cut flowers. Thanks to the subtle colouring of frilled petals it is perfectly suited for romantic bouquets and compositions.

If you wish to plant gladioli in your garden, provide them with appropriate conditions. Bulbs should be planted in spring in warmed, fertile soil. Gladioli like sunny places that are exposed to drafts. Bulbs should be planted about ten centimetres deep. A large gladiolus like the presented one needs 12 to 15 centimetre spacings. During the most intensive growth water, weed, and fertilize the plants until flower buds appear. Mulching supports gladioli growth. After the flowering period has ended, you can start excavating bulbs - gladioli are not hardy. Cleaned and dried bulbs should be stored in wooden or plastic boxes, in two to three layers. The storage temperature should lie within the 5 to 8?C range.

One package contains 5 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
