The Mandarin Star Asiatic lily delights with its inflorescences that take on the colour of a burning fire. This exotic variety should be admired from a close distance. Darker petal tips smoothly turn into a deep orange shade, that adds an extra layer to the already saturated colouring. Mandarin Star is pollen free and odourless, making it a perfect lily for allergy sufferers and people who do not like strong, floral aromas. Feel free to use this pollen-free lily in bouquets and compositions, as those will not stain furniture, clothes, or hands. The beautiful Mandarin Star lily constitutes a great addition to borders, flower beds, and lawns. It looks great paired with hosta, box tree, and conifers.

Lily belongs to bulbous plants that must be planted in spring or autumn. Put bulbs into holes made in loose, fertile soil, and layered with sand. Keep individual plants twenty to thirty centimetres apart to allow them to develop freely. When it comes to access to light, lilies grow best in a place where the the sunlight warms upper parts of the plant and the roots are slightly shaded. You can achieve this by planting lily among lower plants who provide cover for the light-sensitive bulbs and lower stem parts. Water and fertilize your lilies to make sure they grow exuberantly. Trim lily shoots in autumn and cover the site with mulch to help bulbs survive winter unharmed.
