The "Disco" marigold is a magnificent annual plant that can be used in variety of ways.  It is an undemanding, exceptionally ornamental variety that is resistant to various weather conditions, diseases and pets. A low growing marigold provides excellent material for filling perennial borders, flower beds and lawns. It is perfectly suited for flower bed edgings and edges of garden groupings. It looks equally well in pots. Boxes and baskets filled with marigolds will remain decorative until late summer. The fact that the marigold flowers repel insects and pests can be considered their great advantage. Marigolds of this variety grow 15-25 cm tall. The carmine-yellow flower heads consist of a single verticil of wavy petals. The characteristic dark green leaves with dentate edges harmonize well with the brightly coloured flowers.

The marigolds grow well in every garden, irrespective of the soil type.  You can sow in two different ways. In greenhouses in March and April in order to produce seedlings or directly to the ground in April and May. Thin or prick out the seedlings leaving 15-20 cm spacings between them. They prefer sunny sites, but partial shade will not hamper their development. These plants do not like excess humidity and should be watered only during the extended drought periods.

One package contains 1 g seeds of the single carmine-yellow Disco marigold. The basic plant facts, growing instructions and the sow-by date can be found on the back side of the package.
