Marrow "Kveta" (Cucurbita pepo var. giromontina) will allow you to harvest large, pale green fruit of the highest quality from your garden. This reliable variety shows good health and vigour and is therefore recommended for field cultivation. Its cylindrical or club-shaped, broad fruit weigh up to 3 kg. They contain creamy, tender and delicious fruit flesh. You may fry them in batter, roast and serve in different meat and vegetarian dishes. Marrow is easily digestible and contains plenty of fibre that regulates digestion process and only little calories. They contain vitamins, particularly A and C, and minerals.

Seeds of the easily cultivated "Kveta" marrow are sown in spring directly. If you wish to harvest the fruit earlier, seedling production would be recommended. This plant requires conditions similar to other gourd vegetables: it grows best in moist, medium-compact, not too heavy and humous soils. Excellent fruit become edible in July the earliest and the last can be picked from the field in September and October.
