The tall growing "Klaun" Mexican marigold (Tagetes erecta) is an intriguing variety that stands out from other marigold varieties with its striped blooms. "Klaun" belongs to the taller Mexican marigold cultivars and may reach height of 50 - 60 cm. The flowers that have 5 cm in diameter consist of numerous yellow disc flowers surrounded by a verticil of crimson ray flowers that all have a distinct yellow stripe in the middle. The unusual blooms of this marigold would constitute an attractive complement to every border. This variety fits perfectly into flower beds and edgings and can be planted in pots and balcony boxes, too.
Even the least experienced gardener will master growing Mexican marigold from seeds. Sow marigold seeds in early spring to pots indoors or in the middle of spring directly onto the field. The emergence occurs after seven days. The Mexican marigold is an undemanding plant and thrives in every garden soil, provided it is permeable, moderately fertile and moist. It grows best and blooms abundantly in full sun, but can also survive partial shade.
Each package contains 0.5 g of tall-growing Mexican marigold "Klaun" seeds. The package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
