Plants grown from this variety are devoid of the characteristic marigold scent that might be unpleasant to many people. This feature makes these plants perfect for cultivation for cut flowers. Mexican marigold in a scentless variety mix is also fitted for elevated borders and as background for lower growing plants. Since the smell will not bother you, you may grow it right behind the windows and in vicinity of your relaxation spots.

Sowing seeds at home is the quickest marigold cultivation method. You should conduct it in spring, four to six weeks before the planned transplantation to the garden.
