Thanks to our seeds you would be able to grow beautiful tufts of sweet wild strawberries on your windowsill. Wild strawberry (Fragaria vesca) is a perennial, hardy and easy-to-grow plant. Gardeners value it for an exceptionally long cropping season. Berries of the species offered in our store taste great, smell beautifully and have a high nutritional and dietary value. Both fresh fruit and leaves (the latter may also be used dried) are a rich source of vitamin C, beta-carotene, healthy carbohydrates, minerals, organic acids and glucosides.

Wild strawberry grows in the wild usually on sunny forest edges, roadsides, meadows and glades. In order for the plant to develop abundantly and produce large number of fruit you should provide it with similar conditions: diluted sunlight and light, aerated soil with an acidic reaction.

The plant offered here grows 10-30 cm tall and develops an attractive, hanging habit. It order to expose the sheer beauty of the blooming tufts you should grow them in tall boxes and hanging pots.

If you wish to grow several plants close to each other, the seedlings should be planted in a container in at least 30 x 30 cm spacings.
