A tuft of narrow leaves with a large, long cluster of light yellow flowers is a sight that the presented variety of a large-flowered gladiolus, called Morning Gold, ensures. Funnel-shaped flowers with frilled petals look wonderful at the background of typical garden perennials. A tall gladiolus that takes a proud, erect stance, should tower over a summer carpet of impatiens or sweet alyssum plants. Planted in a large planter it will brighten up your place of relaxation on a balcony. Morning Gold is an unmatched cut flower too. A fantastic sunny colour, an intricate shape of flowers, and excellent durability are the assets that many plants can be jealous of.

Gladioli have rather high expectations yet they are easy to meet. They need a soil with high humus content, that is also fertile and does not retain too much water, to grow healthy.  You should expect large, nicely coloured flowers from a sunny situation. Tall stems should be protected from the wind and, if possible, from heavy rainfall. Large clusters of flowers might require staking during the flowering period. Planting gladioli bulbs takes place in the spring, about 8 to 12 centimetres deep and 15 to 20 centimetres apart. The maintenance is reduced to watering and fertilizing, protection from diseases and pests. Gladioli that belong to the Iris family cannot survive Central European winters. You must dig them out and store in a room where the temperature is constantly a few degrees Celsius above the freezing point.

One package contains 50 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
