The Mr Sandman gladiolus and its hued flowers should appeal to lovers of noble yet fresh and subtle flowers. Stems that are richly covered with flowers, surrounded with sword-shaped, green leaves, constitute a nice sight in a summer garden. Gladioli of the Mr. Sandman variety produce white flowers with a washed pale red frame. Their broad funnel-shaped flowers with frizzled petals can decorate the vicinity of your home or the far corners of a border. Gladioli can be combined with other tall plants, e.g. hollyhocks. A good way to expose the beauty of those plants is planting them in larger groups among annual creeping plants. Presented Mr. Sandman variety grows 80 to 120 centimetres depending on the weather and growing conditions. The flowering starts about 60 to 80 days after the planting.

Work related with planting gladioli starts in spring. Place bulbs into 10 to 12 centimetres deep holes. Separate plants with 15 to 20 centimetre spacings. Gladioli grow well if you provide them with a sunny, wind-sheltered, and warm site. They prefer loosened, previously prepared sites. Fertile, humous, permeable soil with a neutral or slightly acidic reaction is best for growing gladioli. You need to take care of the gladioli during the season. Water and fertilize them regularly. Dig out the corms in autumn and store dry in a basement that is secured from frost. Repeat the growing cycle in spring.

One package contains 50 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
