The Odorata Pink Delight fragrant begonia is a true feast for your senses. The plant that dazzles at the first sight with its rich pink flowers, enchants you again with a sweet, pleasant scent. This magnificent, plant gem will transform planters and pots on a balcony, terrace, or patio. A cascading growth form makes it a great filler for taller pots, hanging baskets, and bowls. Subtle, fragile stems are covered with rather modestly sized, asymmetric heart-shaped, denticulate leaves. Rose-shaped flowers sit on long stalks that are slightly trailing. Begonia is a wonderful plant for all sites that remain in partial shade. Only a few plants in elegant hanging pots can turn an ordinary spot in a nice-looking and pleasantly scented place of relaxation.

Begonia tubers should be planted only after all risk of frost has passed. To speed up the flowering, you can force them in pots on windowsills at home from March onwards. Well-developed plants usually bloom earlier. Place tubers the concave side up, about five to eight centimetres deep, fifteen to twenty centimetres apart. Warm, sheltered sites with a soil that is rich in nutrients and organic matter are recommended. Begonias have high water and fertilizer requirements and both tasks must be performed regularly. This species belongs to heat-loving plants that do not winter outdoors, neither in the ground, nor in planters. Dig out tubers and transfer them into rooms with a stable temperature around 10?C.

We hereby offer tubers of the Pink Delight fragrant begonia. One package contains two tubers. Plant information and growing instructions are included in the product information printed on the label.
