The Odorata Red Glory fragrant begonia is a charming plant that is perfectly suited for shaded balconies and terraces. Its spectacular sea of flowers comes with a special feature, a pleasant, sweet scent that surrounds us when we come near it. The Red Glory variety is temperamental plant that produces blood-red, double flowers. Gently trailing shoots of this begonia look great in hanging baskets and bowls. Planting Red Glory in a tall planter, from which it will flow down with a subtle, short cascade, is another arrangement option. This 25 to 35 centimetres tall begonia blooms reliably and abundantly from June to October. Bushy plants of this variety consist of fleshy, serrated leaves, and fragile stems. Fragrant begonia is an attractive, fashionable plant that needs no further advertising.

Fertile, permeable, humous, slightly acidic, and moist soil belongs to basic requirements of a begonia plant. It prefers sites in partial shade, sheltered from the scorching sun that might burn it. You must supply vigorously growing and abundantly flowering begonia with fertilizers all season long. Water it regularly and remove wilted flowers.

Begonia is a perennial plant whose tubers must be excavated before the winter. Take them out of the borders and planters at the beginning of October, clean them, and put into ventilated containers filled with sawdust, sand, or garden peat. Store the boxes until spring in a cool, dry room, where temperature remains around 10 degrees Celsius. Plant tubers again into pots and planters in March and April. Begonias need warmth, at least 18?C, to develop properly. After the risk of all frost has passed, you can transfer pots and planters with begonias outside and gradually transplant them into the ground.

We hereby offer tubers of the Red Glory fragrant begonia. One package contains two tubers. Plant information and growing instructions are included in the product information printed on the label.
