Pepper Seeds
We have a wide selection of pepper seeds available. Varieties differ in size and shape of the fruit and vegetation period. Seeds available in our online store are of high quality, since they come from proven producers only.
We recommend seeds of the „Habanero” pepper with high capsaicin content to all those who love extremely savoury, hot flavours. This variety produces smaller fruit with red, brown or green peel. „Hungarian yellow wax hot” would also be recommended, especially taking into account that it withstands difficult weather conditions and is easy in cultivation. If you prefer traditional, sweet peppers, try out seeds of the „Marta Polka” variety that produces large yellow delicious fruit. The „Oda” variety, resistant to adverse weather conditions, stands out with its purple and later brown peel colouring. You should also test seeds of the tomato-shaped pepper, an early variety called „Topgirl”. You may grow it both in the field and under covers. It is resistant to grey mould and blossom end rot.
Peppers are a rich source of minerals and vitamins, particularly vitamin C. It is one of the vegetables with highest ascorbic acid content grown in Central Europe. Beside that peppers contain anti-oxidants, such as vitamin E, that slows down ageing of the body by destroying free radicals. You may also take interest in ornamental peppers that can be grown in containers. It produces small, decorative fruit. Ripe, dried fruit can be used in dried flower arrangements and bouquets. Its seeds are of course available in our garden store.
