Orange sweet pepper 'Lamia', recommended for cultivation in tunnels and outdoors, is a variety that bears delicious and attractively looking fruit. These plants reach height of 70-80 cm and produce yellow-orange, rectangular fruit slightly broader at the upper part. Ripe pepper is 8-12 cm long, 6-8 cm wide and weighs 110-130 g.

Annual pepper (Capsicum annuum) belongs to the healthiest vegetables that you may purchase all year long. Fruit grown and harvested in your own garden taste best and have the highest nutritional value. Sweet pepper 'Lamia' contains a lot of vitamins (particularly vitamin C and beta-carotene), minerals (including clcium, potassium, magnesium and iron). This cultivar is low-calorie, rich in lycopene and other antioxidants and tasty. Its fruit are ideal for a light evening snack. You may also eat it in salads or serve steamed as side dish to meat and pasta.

Seeds of the variety offered here should be sown at the end of winter or beginning of spring at home or in a greenhouse. They need temperatures between 20 and 25ºC to germinate. Transplant hardened seedlings to a tunnel or onto open field on a wind-sheltered, warm, sunny location at the end of spring.
