Pepper "Koral" (Capsicum annuum) belongs to the varieties intended for cultivation in pots or balcony boxes. Its round fruit that resemble beads are very hot and present high ornamental value. They are greenish-white when they develop, to gradually change colour to yellow, through orange, to carmine-red when fully ripen. Shiny, smooth peel of the fruit covers compact, very hot flesh that makes "Koral" pepper crops an ideal complement to hot sauces, soups and other warm dishes. These fruit may also be frozen and preserved.
Seeds of this productive, undemanding variety should be sown in spring into permeable soil on seeding trays or into production pots. Seedlings need warmth and regular watering. You may transplant the seedlings to borders or larger containers late in spring. Due to the compact habit and attractively contrasting bright red fruit and vividly green, impressive foliage, the "Koral" pepper may be treated as an ornamental plant. It will form a great habit and bear plenty of fruit on every sheltered, sunny, warm site with a humous soil.
