Hot Pepper ‘Rokita’ is an early variety that produces hot red fruit that grow 12 to 16 centimetres in length. Very fertile, this plant is recommended to be grown in soil or in foil tunnels. The plants, which develop in a fairly dense shrubby form with raised shoots, grow around 50 centimetres in height. The Hot Pepper ‘Rokita’ fruit are perfect for various vegetable products (preserved or salads) as well as for direct consumption.
Growing: sow the seeds in planter boxes or in covered pallet planters in March. The seeds germinate in 10 to 14 days at 19-22°C. Prick out the seedlings that have developed one pair of leaves into pots with a diameter of 7 to 8 centimetres, or into pallet planters that are around 6 centimetres broad. Plant out into the soil in 40x40cm spacings in the second half of May. Grow the plants in sunny and quiet positions in moist humus soils; warm soils are particularly recommended.
