The Platini gladiolus will cheer up garden borders with its sunny-coloured flowers. These appear in large numbers in ears that sit atop erect, over 1 metre tall stems in summer. Each of the golden-yellow flowers is marked with small red dot that only adds to their charm. Every large bulb shoots healthy, green, slender leaves that densely surround single flowering stalks. This charming plant is full of life and therefore makes a good figure in the garden, in a planter, and in a rich bouquet. The Platini gladiolus may form a single-species colourful spot yet it looks attractive in combination with other brightly coloured gladioli too.
Gladioli need sunlight and a rich, cultivated soil to grow properly. The earth should be moist yet permeable. During the season, gladioli require watering, fertilizing, and staking from its owner or caretaker. Planting of the bulbs takes place in spring. Make about 10-centimetre deep holes at the prepared site and put bulbs inside. Keep 15 to 20 centimetre spacings between the plants. In autumn, after the flowers have wilted and the plants have stored enough nutrients, you should dig them out. Dry the frost-sensitive corms a little and transfer to a dry and cool room where they can rest until the next planting in spring, whether on a border or in pot.
One package contains 5 gladioli bulbs of the presented variety. These bulbs are sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the package label.
