Platycodon, balloon flower White (Platycodon grandiflorus) is a perennial plant developing bell-shaped flowrs. It develops branched, erect stems atop which single blooms develop in spring. The height of the plants usually does not exceed 40-50 cm. Not only flowers, but the balloon-shaped flower buds decorate the plants. The white flowers consist of five petals that are joined together and are stare-shaped. They appear in large numbers on borders, edgings and in containers.
Plants need to be planted in spring on sunny or partially shady sites. They will thrive on almost every kind of soil, provided it is permeable and fertile. The Chinese bellflower "White", as this plant is also called, prefers light, moderately moist and humous soils. It is frost resistant and can therefore winter in the ground.
Each package contains 1 rhizome of the White platycodon, balloon flower. The most important growing instructions have been printed on each package.
