Purple crocus is a plant that everyone should like. This dwarf plant with flowers that take on a deep colour evokes positive emotions as it ascends to the spring sun through the snow. Its slender, cup-shaped flowers that consist of oval petals are a staple in home gardens and city greenery. The 10 to 15 centimetres tall crocus form colourful path edges and flower bed borders. Quickly propagating and spreading crocus constitutes a great addition to carpet beddings and periodical lawn decorations. Presented species can also fill planters that would adorn home entry, a balcony, or even a room.

Plant crocus in autumn, in September and October, several centimetres deep. Provide the plant with a sunny site, but partial shade should do them no harm. Bulbs sprout well in a permeable soil that is rich in nutrients. A quickly warming site proves to give the plant a head start. It does not have, however, to be sheltered from the wind. Crocus can winter in the ground for years. Dig bulbs out every few years to ensure rich flowering.

One package contains 10 bulbs of the purple crocus. Essential plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
