"Jolly" radish (Raphanus sativus) is a very productive variety that belongs to the early ones. It is intended for cultivation on the field and under covers. It is suited for cultivation both in spring and in autumn. It develops regularly shaped, round roots with 2.5 to 4 cm in diameter that are covered with thin red, shiny peel. The flesh takes on white colour and has a savoury-sweet taste. What is even more important, it does not get pithy. This variety develops short and strong leaves, enabling easy harvest and bundling. "Jolly" variety is valued for its great looks and exceptional gustatory value. It should be eaten with sandwiches, salads or as garnish.
Radish seeds should be sown directly to the field in rows 15 - 20 cm apart. Sow seeds from April to May in the open field and from January to March under covers. We recommend to sow radish in batches every two weeks, so you would enjoy delicious radishes for a longer time. Radish is a variety with average requirements. Soil humidity is of utmost importance, because drought may cause the roots to become pungent.
Each package contains 5 g of "Jolly" red radish seeds. Growing instructions and the sow-by date are included in the package information.
