Schisandra, also known as Schisandra Berry, is a plant that has in recent years continually gained popularity. This is mainly due to its beautiful berry-like red fruit, which not only feature an outstanding ornamental value, but also have medicinal properties. Schisandra is a perennial that is predominantly grown with flower supports, or on pergolas or fences; it can also be used as a cover plant.
Growing: the seeds can be sown all-year-round. Plant out into the soil in 1x1m spacings from April to June. Harvest the plants from September to October.
