The Sogno gladiolus will meet all expectations you might have towards a noble border plant and a romantic cut flower for every occasion. It will outshine many other species in summer when the flowers are in full bloom. Stems that tower over the background of a border and carry picturesque flowers will bring all on-lookers in awe. Their colour fluidly changes from almost white perianth to light coral pink at the petal edges. We recommend planting this variety in larger groups that will be clearly visible in your composition. Gladioli can be cut and put into vases as soon as two bottom buds open. A properly maintained bouquet of gladioli stays fresh for up to two weeks.

Gladioli will pay you back with long, abundant flowering for planting them at a bright, warm, and sheltered place. Plant their bulbs in spring into fertile, permeable soil that contains plenty of humus and nutrients. Do not plant them too shallow, as it may cause the tall plants to fall. Usually, 10 to 12 centimetres deep holes spread in 15 to 20 centimetre spacings are enough. Water planted bulbs regularly and feed them with multicomponent fertilizers. Stems that carry heavy flowers often require staking. After the end of flowering period in autumn, bulbs must be dug out. Those bulbs should be stored in a dry, cool basement or tool sheds that are well secured from frost.
