You may start sprout culture on your windowsill at any given time of the year. They only need some light, warmth and water to develop. You may grow sprouts in a special sprouter or a simple jar covered with gauze. Soak sprouting seeds for a few hours, rinse and strain into the container of your choice. Place it in a warm and well-lit place. Do not forget to rinse the culture with water twice a day. Your sprouts will be ready-to-eat after 4 to 6 days.
