Red, medium early sweet pepper 'Waga', intended for cultivation under covers and characterized by a long cropping season, is the perfect choice for home gardens and allotments. This easy to care for plant grows medium tall, 60 to 70 cm. 'Waga' produces extremely large, rectangular, slightly elongated fruit weighing 170-190 g. Skin and flesh are green when consumption-ready and dark red when fully mature. This variety is recommended for direct consumption, preserving, roasting, steaming and preparation of other home-made preserves. Red pepper contains plenty of fibre, vitamin C (the most among all vegetables grown in Poland), beta-carotene, B-vitamins and vitamins E, as well as minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus and iron).

Annual pepper (Capsicum annuum) belongs to the nightshades (Solanaceae) family and is therefore frost-sensitive like its relatives, tomato and aubergine. We recommend to grow it in greenhouses or unheated plastic foil tunnels from seedlings produced at home. Sow pepper seeds early in spring to boxes, multipots or mini greenhouses. The soil for cultivation of this extremely productive variety, offered in our store, needs to be fertile, slightly acidic, rich in humus and not too heavy.

Packages available in our store contain 0.5 g of the 'Waga' red pepper seeds.
