"Gigant" tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) is a typical amateur variety that you should consider because of very large and delicious fruit. It belongs to medium late, determinate varieties. "Gigant" is a very productive variety and the crops it yields are regularly shaped and sized. This variety is intended for cultivation in the field, although you may also grow it under covers. The fruit delight with their size, as they may weigh 200 - 250 g. Usually they are round or slightly flattened, smooth or slightly ribbed. Exceptionally firm and taking on bright red colour they have a fleshy and tasty flesh. They are perfect for direct consumption.

"Gigant" tomato seeds should be sown end of March / beginning of April to pots placed under unheated covers. The ready seedlings are transplanted to the field end of May, after the risk of spring frosts have passed. We recommend to plant these tomatoes in 80-100 x 80 cm. "Gigant" variety is intended for cultivation with supports and should be pruned, leaving 2 - 3 stems only. Tomatoes need sunny and warm sites to yield rich crops. Sandy-clay, permeable, drying and constantly, moderately moist soils suit tomato cultures best. The ground should also be rich in humus, magnesium and calcium.

Each package contains 1 g of the "Gigant" tomato seeds.

Growing instructions and the sow-by date are included in the package information.
