The "Orange With Ring" treasure flower (Gazania splendens) is a must-have plant on the flowerbed and in the rock garden. This low, hardy annual plant produces surprisingly large, regularly shaped inflorescences. It is one of the earliest summer flowers, and the saturated, beautiful colour of its petals catches the eye and adds life to every composition. The variety presented in our store adopts a compact tuft habit and reaches 15-30 cm in height. Each of its lush orange flowers has a spectacular brown border around the centre. The "Orange With Ring" treasure flower, as an undemanding, easy to grow and drought-tolerant plant, is perfect for perennial borders, flower beds, lawns, rock gardens and containers, e.g. as a living flower at a cemetery.
The proposed species should be grown from seedlings. Treasure flower seeds should be sown onto a hotbed or at home in early spring, and the seedlings should be transferred outside at the end of May. Choose a well-lit place, preferably fully exposed to sunlight. The soil should be well drained and medium fertile. The offered variety blooms in June, and if you remove wilted inflorescences regularly, it will flower until the autumn frosts.
One package contains 15 "Orange With Ring" treasure flower seeds. The sow-by date and growing instructions have been printed on the back of the package..My account
