The botanical variety of the Little Princess tulip will prove to be indispensable for creating a cheerful atmosphere in the garden. This tulip develop charming orange flowers whose colour sometimes gradually turns into yellow or white towards the centre. There is a distinct, brown-black spot in the middle. The narrow, dense and dark green leaves also adorn the plant. Due to the limited height, these tulips are perfect for cultivation in rock gardens and pots. It looks adorable on the edgings of multi-flower beds and on the lawns. It will create denser and denser tufts everywhere it grows. On warm days a tulip exposed to sunlight opens widely like a star and shines with its colourful tepals, evoking a smile on its owner's face. The colourful, low growing tulips provide excellent materials for small bouquets that adorn the table.

Our Little Princess is not too picky and does not have any special requirements. These plants do not require much attention from the gardener. You only need to learn what they need in regard to the site in order to enjoy abundant blooming. Tulips grow best in the medium heavy to light soil. The loam-sandy soil should be permeable, rich in nutrients and the organic matter. It is recommended to avoid planting tulips in the waterlogged, acid, heavy or dried soil. Tulips prefer sunny sites, yet several hours of shade per day will not hurt them. We recommend to prepare the site for tulip cultivation in advance. The soil should be cultivated, weeded and the larger stones removed from it. The admixture of finely ground compost will provide the bulbs with the much needed support at the start. You may also add some sand in order to make the soil lighter. Tulips do not need to be excavated every year, but we recommend to do so every 3 to 4 years in order to strengthen the plants. This would also allow you to propagate the tulips by separating the bulblets. Tulips tolerate Central European winters and may grow at the same site for at least a few years.

Tulip bulbs have to be planted in autumn. September and October are considered the perfect time for planting. The optimal planting depth equals two heights of a bulb. The planting distance depends on the visual effect you would like to achieve. Allow 15 - 20 cm between the bulbs and the same distance between rows on average.

Each package contains 5 bulbs of the Little Princess tulip. The packaging label contains the basic information about the plant and the growing instructions.
