Twinspurs look great in pots and window containers. Their slender stalks, thickly covered with two-lip, warmly pink blooms form abundant, round tufts. Average height of a fully developed plant reaches 30 cm. Diascia, as it is also called, blooms in June, July and August. With favourable weather conditions the flowers stay in our garden the whole September.
This presented plant is easy in cultivation. The seeds should be sown in early spring at home or under heated covers. The seedlings are transplanted to larger containers end of May. Those plants need a fertile, moderately humid soil on sunny site that is sheltered from wind and rain. Thanks to its attractive growth form and plethora of blooms, the twinspur can become the main attraction of a windowsill, balcony or terrace. It harmonises well with other balcony plants, such as the blue lobelias.
One packet contains 0.1 g of seeds. The sow-by date and a growing guide are printed on the back of the package.
