White cabbage "Fantasia" (Brassica oleracea convar. capitata var. alba) is an early variety (harvested in 55-60 days after the planting), that produces round heads consisting of pale green leaves covered with waxy coating. It is intended both for field and under cover cultivation. White head cabbage "Fantasia" may be consumed directly after the harvest, raw or cooked, particularly as stuffed leaves. It shows tender taste and its crunchy leaves separate easily from the heads.

"Fantasia" cabbage is grown from seedlings. Seeds are sown end of February / beginning of March. Seedlings are transferred in March under covers or to the open field in 40 x 40 cm spacings. It is recommended to cover cabbage seedlings with aggrotextiles in order to speed up plants’s growth. Light, moist, humous soils rich in nutrients are preferred in cabbage cultivation that also requires sunny and wind-sheltered site. Cabbage heads are ready to be harvested from July on, and in cultivation under covers end of May / beginning of June.
