The white-flowered 'Grenadin' carnation, also known as clove pink, is a subtle beauty. Its long, segmented stems are covered with narrow, pointed leaves. The foliage is covered with a wax coating that gives the plant a glaucous-blue shade. The double flowers with a very pleasant smell sit singly or in small groups atop the erect stalks. The petals in the shape of densely clustered frills with a serrated edge are characteristic for the species. They look magnificent and subtle. These white flowers beautifully enhance other colours, give the impression of cleanliness and space in the garden. The stiff stems and flower durability are advantages that are especially appreciated when using the 'Grenadin' carnations for cut flowers. The plants grow up to 30-60 cm in height. They perfectly fit onto borders and container compositions. The flowering carnations make the summer holidays even more pleasant from June to August. Clove pinks bloom in the second year of cultivation.

The sowing should take place at the end of spring (about 8 weeks before the last frost) on a seedbed or in containers at home. Cover the seeds with a half-centimetre layer of substrate. They need circa 2 weeks to germinate. Keep the soil moist during that time. The seedlings need to be pricked out at least once. Transfer them to the target site in August, at the end of summer. The recommended spacing is 25 × 30 cm. When choosing a place to grow cloves, let's follow the plant's preferences for rich, humus soils. The substrate should be sandy loam and rich in lime. In order to ensure the proper development, provide the plants with a moist and sunny position.

Each package contains 0.5 grams of the white 'Grenadin' garden carnation. The package information contains the growing instructions and the sow-by date.
