White cupflower, also known as nierembergia (Nierembergia hippomanica) is a very decorative plant, whose tiny blooms develop every day all summer long. Broadly branched plants develop splendid tufts of slightly crawling shoots. Flowery beddings of tiny, spiky leaves and myriads of cup–shaped flowers would look great on border edges, alongside paths and walls. This species may also be planted in containers. Hanging shoots look great in hanging baskeds and boxes adorning balconies and terraces all summer long.
Seeds are sown early in spring to boxes and containers placed in a warm and well–lit room. You must not cover them with soil, because they are tiny and need access to light to germinate. Transplant the seedlings only in the second half of May. Nierembergia loves sunny and sheltered sites. It prefers thoroughly drained, yet moist soils rich in nutrients.
Each package contains 0.1 g of the blue cupflower seeds.
Growing instructions and the sow–by date are included in the package information.
