The "Zentaur Poly" is a multigerm variety that produces white roots. This is an exceptionally productive, healthy variety that reliably yields crops. It is resistant to shooting flowering branches and tolerant to the popular beet diseases, such as icterus and cercospora leaf spot. The "Zentaur Poly" is also drought resistant. It is recommended for cultivation on lesser soils, where it yields satisfying crops. It produces uniform white, large, oval roots with a shallow groove, that sit up to 60% deep in soil and allow therefore to automate the harvesting. It is a heterotic, semi-sugar cultivar. It displays long storage life, even until late spring.

Fodder beets belong to valued forage for various farm animals. They are fed to cattle, pigs, horses, sheep, goats and poultry. They are eagerly eaten by the animals and delight with good nutritional and energetical value. Juicy and dietetic fodder beets increase the volume of produced milk and its protein and fat content. Pigs fed with beets produce delicious meat with low fat content. Hens fed with this fodder crop will lay more eggs.

The optimal seeding time is the first and second decade of April, and the third decade of that month in cooler regions with harsher, continental climate. Fodder beetroots do not require fertile soil in order to grow well. They yield satisfying crops in the 4th and 5th soil quality class. The only condition for that is a non-acidic and permeable soil.
