The "Saigon" arum lily belongs to the most vigorous representatives of its species and is therefore ideally suited for cultivation for cut flowers. Its erect, straight stems end with decorative, beautiful, dark pink-purple spathes in July and August. The slender, intricately bent spathe resembles an elegant lampshade and measures up to 20 cm in length, while the whole plant reaches a height of 50 cm. The stiff, erect, ovate, sharp-tipped leaves also display high ornamental value. They take on a vivid green colour and are freckled with white spots. The unique calla lily, as this plant is sometimes called, although it is neither a true lily, nor a calla, proves to be a marvellous flower bed and pond edge decoration, particularly if you plant it in larger groupings.
The spectacular "Saigon" arum lily will bloom beautifully on every sunny or partially shady site in the sufficiently moist soil that is rich in humus. You may grow it both in the ground and in large, tall container on a terrace, balcony or at home. We recommend to plant arum lily bulbs in the second half of spring and to excavate them in autumn. Store them over the winter in a garage or cellar (optimal storage temperature is 10-15°C).
One package contains 1 large bulb sized 14/16. Plant growing instructions were included in the package information.
