Astilbe 'Diamant' (Astilbe x arendsii) produces pure white flower plumes on upright stems. The bright plumes stand out strongly against the green foliage, and the whole plant keeps a neat, compact habit. Thanks to its light colour, this variety is excellent for brightening the darkest corners of the garden and spaces by north-facing walls. It is particularly effective in uniform rows planted along shaded paths.
Plant the bare roots in spring, ideally in April and May.
The recommended planting depth is 5-10 cm.
The optimum spacing between plants is 40-50 cm, allowing them to develop freely.
This variety reaches 60-70 cm in height.
Flowers from July to August, decorating the garden throughout the summer.
The plant requires winter cover to survive the frosty months.
It works well wherever a planting scheme needs brightening - for example alongside the darker leaves of hostas, with ferns, or with burgundy astilbe varieties. It also looks good planted in repeated groups, along paths, or as a calm backdrop for more striking plants.
Our bare roots are carefully selected for the highest quality and healthy plant growth.
The pack contains 1 robust bare root. The label includes basic growing information.
