"Bonanza" tulip is double variety whose flowers take on warm colours. Red and yellow give it a distinct look. Its broad bowl-shaped flowers sit atop stiff stems that grow 40 to 60 centimetres tall. The bicolour "Bonanza" tulip allows you to enrich your garden with an attractive and strong accent in the garden. The hued, fiery flowers of the presented variety attract attention - you can plant them on single-variety flower beds and carpet beddings, in mixed compositions with other bulb flowers, and in arrangements that combine perennials and annuals. They look great on English-style borders that surround lawns. The reliable and proven tulips can be used to fill planters on a balcony, terrace of patio. Do not hesitate to use them in rock gardens and to cheer up darker spots around trees and shrubs. Tulips are popular cut flowers too.

Tulips grow best in sandy-loam soil. They prefer rich, humous and permeable soil. To provide them with optimal growing conditions, make sure that the soil stays slightly moist or moderately dry. The site should be sheltered from the wind, sunny or partially shady. We recommend to transplant the bulbs to another situation every three years on average.

Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn, preferably in September and October. Place them at the previously prepared site in the field or in at least 20 centimetres deep pots or planters. Cover tulip bulbs with a layer of soil that is at least twice as deep as their height. We recommend to add well-fermented compost to the soil before planting to improve its quality. Tulips survive low temperatures quite well, but they are not fully frost resistant. We recommend to cover the sites where they grow with conifer twigs or mulch. It will also prevent weeds from growing and the soil from drying out.
