The calla lily (Zantedeschia) colour selection is a splendid offer for gardeners who love surprises. We offer a randomly selected flower colour variety that develops from a round, slightly flattened bulb. In central Europe, this plant is grown as a seasonal garden and balcony decoration. This African beauty dazzles with its unique form that you cannot find among European species - a broad, colourful spathe encompasses a spadix (a cluster of flowers that resembles a cob). Calla lily flowers six to eight weeks after planting. Its flowers last several weeks. During the flowering, the plant reaches height of 30 to 50 centimetres. Arum lily, as this plant is also called, develops an erect habit. It consists of decorative, pointed, and spotted leaves that surround thick and fleshy stems that carry the flowers. Calla lily colour selection offer a great solution for filling pots on a balcony, a flower bed, or a lawn in the garden. You can also cut the inflorescences and put them in vases, where they will stay fresh for a long time.

The heat-loving arum lily plants can grow outside from late spring to early autumn. They require a light, permeable soil, preferably enriched with sand and peat. A drainage layer is required both in pots and in the garden. Keep the soil constantly, yet only moderately moist. Calla lily prefers well lit places and likes to be fed with multi-component plant food. Remove flower clusters after they wilt by cutting the entire stem off right at the base.
