'Blue Bell' is a variety in a deep, cool purple that can take on soft pinkish tones depending on the light. The flowers are fully double and clearly arranged, giving them a compact, elegant form. The colour does not dominate aggressively - instead, it creates a calm, moody accent in the planting scheme. It is a good choice for plantings where balance and consistency of colour matter, without an excess of contrast.
Tubers should be planted in spring, from April to May, once the risk of frost has passed and the soil has warmed up. They can be started earlier indoors in pots.
Place the tuber under a layer of soil about 5-8 cm thick, so that the eyes sit just below the surface of the growing medium.
Allow 30-40 cm between plants so they can develop freely and maintain an even habit.
The plant grows to 60-80 cm, making it well suited to the middle of a border or to larger containers.
The flowers appear in July and last until the first autumn chills.
Dahlia does not overwinter in the ground. In autumn, after the first frosts, the tubers should be lifted, cleaned and stored in a cool, dry place until the next season.
This variety looks good in combinations with plants with silvery foliage, white flowers or pastel pink. It can serve as a calm backdrop for lighter blooms or create a uniform purple block in more subdued arrangements. The flowers are also suitable for cutting, especially for bouquets kept in a cool colour palette.
Our tubers are carefully selected, which ensures healthy growth and beautiful flowering.
The pack contains 1 tuber. The label includes basic growing information.
