Dahlia Take Off is a tuberous perennial that delights with its flowers. It belongs to the group of anemone-flowered dahlias, distinguished by the original structure of its flowers. This lovely variety produces numerous, about 10-centimetres-wide flowers, which consist of a wreath of lilac, broad petals and a centre filled with a cushion of short, yellowish perianth parts that are serrated at the ends. Dahlia Take off grows rather vigorously, reaching 80 to 100 centimetres in height. Dahlia's lush, branching habit makes it possible to plant it solitary. This option constitutes a sensational decoration of a sunny corner at the entrance to the house, or can form intriguing cover of the less spectacular garden spot. Tall dahlias are perfect for planting in dense rows along fences, walls, and buildings. Dahlia Take Off, whose flowers contrast wonderfully with the green foliage, is a great addition to any garden arrangement. Unique flowers are also recommended for cutting into bouquets, the beauty of which can be enjoyed for a fortnight or even longer.

Dahlias love sunlight and willingly spend up flowers basking in the sun. Meticulously prepare the site for your dahlias. Thoroughly weed and loosen the soil. Make sure that it is fertile, humous, and permeable, as those conditions allow for healthy development of the plan that also requires watering and fertilization. Both need to be performed on a regular basis. Dahlias do not require more complex care. All you need to do, apart from the above mentioned, is removing wilted flowers to extend the flowering season.

Unfortunately, Central European climate does not allow for leaving the tubers in the ground all year round. Therefore, dig out the rhizomes as soon as the first wave of autumn cold hits the garden. Cut down the stems, take rootstock out of the ground, dry, and move to a cool, dry room. Store them in containers filled with sawdust, deacidified peat, or sand.

Each package contains one top-quality rhizome of a Take Off dahlia. Packaging label contains a quick growing guide and basic plant description.
