"Bis" bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is a dwarf French bean variety intended for amateur cultivation. Medium late variety needs circa 80 days from sow to harvest. Plants take on a bushy habit and grow up to 40 cm tall. They develop large, flat pods that grow 12 - 15 cm long and 2 - 2.2 cm broad. They stand out with high gustatory value, are fleshy, delicious and stringless. They contain tiny, beige, dotted seeds. The pods take on an appetizing yellow colour, sometimes with a slight anthocyanin colouring. "Bis" bean is ideal for direct consumption, can be frozen or preserved,

This vegetable is sensitive to low temperatures therefore the seeds may only be sown to the field no earlier than in the second half of May, yet no later than mid-June. The sooner you sow, the richer the crops would be. Dwarf varieties are sown in rows 50 cm apart with seeds put into soil every 10 - 20 cm. Choose sunny and wind-sheltered sites for cultivation of "Bis" bean. It will yield richest crops in soils rich in nutrients and water. Harvest the nicely coloured pods that are still soft and firm. They start to ripen mid-July.

Each package contains 30 of the "Bis" dwarf yellow French bean seeds. Growing instructions and the sow-by date are included in the package information.
