Emergency fertilizer against browning needles - Substral® - 5 kg belongs to those all-purpose products that can be applied regularly as a precaution and in emegergency cases. It is recommended for fertilizing all conifer trees and shrubs. Nutrient deficiencies, particularly lack of sufficient magnesium supply, causes browning of the needles. Emergency fertilizer against browning needles will provide your plants with the needed amount of the afore mentioned compound. It will replenish other deficiencies and speed up production of chlorophyll, a substance responsible for the green needle colour. The possibility to apply the product to the soil and to the foliage is a great advantage of this product. You will be able to see the effects of its use quickly.

Presented fertilizer is 100% water soluble. You may use the prepared solution to dust the overground plant parts or to water the plants the usual way. You may also broadcast the fertilizer under trees or shrubs. Spread it evenly and then water the plants thoroughly. Use this product all season long, particularly when you spot the first brown needles. Foliar application is recommended in case of acute deficiencies, as it brings almost immediate results.

Application method:
New plantings (spring): 40 grams per 1 m2, New plantings (autumn): 60 grams per 1 m2 in March or April the following year. Mix the fertilizer with the starter planting soil. The already growing plants: hedges - 50-80 grams per 1 m2, smaller shrubs - 50-60 grams per 1 m2, trees and larger shrubs - 80-90 grams per 1 m2. Broadcast the fertilizer around the plants and mix it with the upper layer of the soil or pour the granules into holes made in vicinity of the plants. Spread the fertilizer on the ground only. If the granules land on the green parts of the plants, shake them off immediately. Water abundantly after use. 1 heaped tablespoon = ca. 25 g. 1 litre = ca. 1 kg.
