Intervention fertiliser against needle browning - Substral - 5 kg

Intervention fertiliser against needle browning - Substral - 5 kg is used for growing coniferous trees and shrubs when the first symptoms of yellowing or browning of needles appear as a result of nutrient deficiencies, especially magnesium. The product quickly replenishes missing elements and supports the formation of chlorophyll responsible for the proper, green colour of needles. It is worth applying the intervention fertiliser against needle browning as soon as worrying changes are noticed, in order to limit any further decline in plant condition.

Properties and benefits

The easily absorbable form of the fertiliser allows plants to efficiently make up for magnesium deficiencies, which plays an important role in photosynthesis and affects the intensity of the green colour of needles. As a result, conifers regain their proper colour faster, and their growth takes place under more stable conditions. The product also supports root system development and improves the overall condition of plants, which is why it works both preventively and as an intervention treatment.

Composition

Mineral fertiliser NPK Mg+S. Water-soluble magnesium oxide (MgO) 16%, water-soluble sulphur trioxide (SO₃) 30%.

Application and feeding period

The intervention fertiliser against needle browning is intended for outdoor use, mainly in the cultivation of coniferous trees and shrubs. The product can be used throughout the growing season, especially when needles begin to lose their vivid colour, turn yellow or brown. The product is also suitable for selected deciduous plants, both grown in open ground and in containers.

Dosage

When planting conifers, use 25 g of fertiliser per 10 litres of growing medium. For older plants up to 2 m tall, the recommended dose is 35-50 g/m², while for taller specimens up to 200 g/m². In the case of a severe magnesium deficiency, carry out a single spray with a solution of 200 g of fertiliser in 10 litres of water. For deciduous container plants, use 1.5 g of fertiliser per 1 litre of growing medium or spray with a solution of 5 g of fertiliser per 1 litre of water, while in the ground apply from 5 g to 25 g per 1 plant, depending on its size.

Directions for use

The granules can be applied to the soil after dissolving in water, as a spray, or by spreading around the plants and mixing into the top layer of soil. After soil application, water the plants thoroughly, using about 20-60 litres of water depending on the size of the specimen. Spraying is best carried out in the morning or evening, avoiding full sun and young shoots.
