The "Peardrops" field tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) is one of the particularly attractive cocktail varieties that produces yellow pear-shaped berries. The compact, bushy habit makes "Peardrops" ideal for planting in containers. It can also be grown in the open field without covers. The plant produces numerous, evenly sized fruit that take on an elongated, pear-shaped shape. Both the flesh and skins are bright yellow. These tomatoes are very sweet, delight with their taste and are therefore excellent for direct, raw consumption after the harvest. They contain large amounts of vitamin C, beta-carotene, and B vitamins and are rich in antioxidants.

"Peardrops" tomato seeds can be sown onto seeding trays and in small seedling pots from early spring. Transfer the seedlings to the ground when they would have developed 6-7 true leaves and when risk of late frosts has passed. Cocktail tomatoes are very productive, vigorous and easy to grow plants - the variety offered in our store is no exception to this rule. "Peardrops" tomato will reliably yield rich crops of sweet fruit throughout the second half of summer on a sunny, warm place with loosened, humus, water retaining soil.
