The "Lobo" forage carrot (Daucus carota), offered here in 200-g packages, guarantees high yield of large, healthy roots that strike with high beta-carotene content. The harvest-ready roots take on a conical or wedge shape and consist of compact, yellow-orange flesh. Farm animals fed on them eagerly due to their sweet taste. That is also why this carrot is recommended for young animals. The "Lobo" fodder carrot constitutes a rich source of beta-carotene, vitamins C and K, B-vitamins and minerals (including calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc). It also displays lactagogue properties. The variety proposed here stands out with low cultivation requirements and brings the richest harvest on medium compact, permeable soils. We recommend to sow it on sites where root vegetables and legumes grew before. It tolerates frost, hence you may sow early. The roots delight with long shelf life.

Packages available here in our garden store contain 200 g of the "Lobo" forage carrot seeds. The sow-by date has been included in the package information.
