"King Tut" French marigold (Tagetes patula nana) stands out with its incredibly decorative blooms. Bicolour, crimson-yellow inflorescences consist of two kinds of flowers. The centres are built of bright yellow disc flowers that are surrounded on the outside with broad, mahogany ray flowers. "King Tut" French marigolds grow 20 - 40 cm tall and develop broadly branched shoots. Flowers of this spreading variety will become great decorations of borders and flower beds. You may also use them on edgings and intriguing container arrangements.
French marigolds are very easy in cultivation and may be grown from direct sow to the field in May. You may, however, prepare seedlings instead and sow French marigold seeds early in spring in a warm and bright room. The ready seedlings should be transplanted outside in the second half of May, when the risk of spring frosts would be gone. This undemanding plant grows well in every kind of garden soil, handles heat and periodical water shortages well. It may be grown on a sunny or partially shady site.
Each package contains 1 g of the "Ing Tut" French marigold seeds.
Growing instructions and the sow-by date are included in the package information.
